Indulge in a lighter version of garlic Alfredo sauce that’s both creamy and flavorful, perfectly enveloping your pasta! With half the calories, you won’t even notice the difference!
Let’s talk about carbs—my ultimate weakness! When I’m trying to eat healthier, it’s not chocolate or sweets that tempt me; it’s those comforting carbs. I often find myself daydreaming about a generous bowl of pasta paired with warm bread. My love for carbs is undeniable!
However, indulging in too many carbs isn’t conducive to weight loss. As someone who tracks macros, I aim for 40% of my daily intake from carbohydrates. To satisfy my cravings while staying on track, I decided to revamp my favorite Alfredo sauce recipe and pair it with whole wheat pasta.
This Alfredo sauce is truly exceptional! By swapping out certain ingredients for lower-calorie options like low-fat milk and reduced-fat cream cheese, I’ve managed to cut the calorie count in half without sacrificing flavor—it tastes incredible!
This recipe is one you’ll want to make repeatedly throughout the year. I’m a firm believer in creating delicious meals while substituting healthier ingredients so that achieving your goals remains practical and enjoyable.
And yes, I still need my carb fix! My weekly reward meal often involves dining at the Spaghetti Factory with family where we indulge in their famous Brown Butter Mazithra Cheese Spaghetti—a dish everyone loves.
This family-friendly meal comes together effortlessly and can be served on your dinner table in just about 30 minutes!
