Josh Allen was in command

Heroes, Zeros, and the full blitz from the Jets’ 23-20 loss to the Bills on Monday:

Hero

Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who has battled the Jets defense in recent years, did a fantastic job controlling this game, completing 19 of 25 passes for 215 yards with two touchdowns and no turnovers.

Unsung hero

Even in the loss, Allen Lazard, who has been maligned for dropping a number of passes this season, had his best game as a Jet, catching six passes for 114 yards, including an acrobatic 52-yard catch of an Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary for a TD on the last play of the first half.

Zero

Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein missed two short field goals in the second half that would have given the Jets the lead β€” the first a 32-yarder late in the third quarter and the second a 43-yarder midway through the fourth quarter.

Quote

β€œAt 2-4 we are far from out of this situation. Under no circumstances. I know the character of that locker room. I know how we will react.”
